VBS 2020

By Ana Fierro | July 23, 2020

Much like everything else this year, VBS looked a little different! We were given a box of VBS fun for three days, and it filled our home with Scripture, fun games and creativity! Our school-aged boys LOVED having something to look forward to for those three days, and begged to do VBS as soon as they woke up! Even our toddler Lillian joined in the fun by playing the games and making crafts with materials we already had at home. Needless to say, all of the children in our home were SO EXCITED to create, play and learn all about God’s love!

At one point, I caught our six-year-old Henry, bowing his head in prayer as Miss Nikki prayed out loud. You know those moments when you stop in your tracks, and recognize a moment as a MOMENT — one you will never forget? That’s what I felt as I watched my sweet boy with his hands clasped together and his little head bowed down. I know this isn’t the VBS any of our children expected, but the time spent together on the front lawn throwing water balloons at each other, building an obstacle course outside, and memorizing Isaiah 40:31 is something I pray they will remember all of their lives. Raising these precious children is such a blessing, but the love poured onto them by the KC team is equally such a gift to bestow, and we are so thankful for such a memorable VBS!
