In this season, we are encouraging you to find time away from the busyness of life to slow down and contemplate Easter. To encourage this time of reflection, every week we will provide you with a place that we find helps us in this endeavor. We hope you enjoy these sacred spaces. If you have a place and a way to connect with God that you would like to share, email Liz Hetzel.
Visit Panorama View Point in the Panorama Nature Preserve. Bring a folding chair and consider these questions:
- If this were Gethsemane, where would Jesus be? Or the disciples?
- What if the cliffs below contained privately owned caves?
- Imagine Jesus ascending to heaven from this place.
- Look at our church to the west. Does it have a special meaning now?
The Easter season is prime Springtime season here. The land is overflowing with late snow, wildflowers, lush greenery, and fresher air. Ask God for the same qualities in your own heart. Ask for creation, redemption and growing renewal, much as you see in the natural world around you. May God widen your experience and deepen the roots of your faith as a result of your special effort to be here. (Provided by Larry Carlson)
