High School students serve at Rainbow Express Special Needs Camp

HSM WILDSIDE: Serving at Rainbow Express

By Amy Delmore | August 12, 2021

During the first week of August, some of our HSM freshmen and sophomores did a service week called Wildside. During this week, they slept at the church and got to help serve at Rainbow Express, which is a special needs VBS put on by Fullerton Free. Many of our students were counselors for a camper, but many of them also helped out at stations as well. One of the best parts of this trip was watching our students care for and love campers of all ages and with all different backgrounds. They got to build relationships with their campers and help give them an incredible experience. At the end of the week, one of the teen campers expressed that his favorite part of the week was learning about God. It was amazing to watch our students’ hearts grow for their campers with special needs!
