OUR STORIES—
Faces Of Our Family – Intern Edition Part 2
By Fullerton Free | April 8, 2021
In an effort to help people feel known and connected, we created “Faces Of Our Family” and over the next few weeks, we will be sharing our interns’ faces and stories! Did you know we have nine interns this semester?!
Our hope is to share some smiles and stories to feel connected as a church family. We trust that seeing some of your Fullerton Free families’ smiles will bring a smile to your face as well.
Rachel Alexander
Meet Rachel! The Local Missions / Outreach Intern at Fullerton Free! Rachel is passionate about mental health advocacy and working with the local community. She loves meeting new people, thrift shopping and spending time outside.
God has recently been teaching Rachel about the beauty of spending time with Him. “Growing up I thought God’s attention had to be earned and maintained. Lately, I have been more aware of God’s unwavering attention. I’ll find myself doing “normal stuff” like running errands or doing homework and become crazy aware of His presence. It’s pretty cool.”
“I am so excited to be a part of the Fullerton Free family and team! Since the beginning of my internship, I have felt so welcomed and encouraged, and I wanted to say thank you! Y’all are a super special group of people and it’s a blessing to know you all!”
David Kwon
Say “hi” to David Kwon, our videography intern! You may see him taking video or photos at our worship services and events around campus. David loves Hip Hop, R&B, talking to old friends and chili cheese dogs. Something that God is teaching David is how to live courageously.
Jane Locke
Jane is the intern for Intergenerational Ministries & Prayer Ministries. She is a full-time student at Biola studying Bible, Theology, Ministry w/concentration in Christian Ministries. She has been attending Fullerton Free for about a year and a half. “I love Jesus, the church, ministry and people! So it is a gift to be an intern this semester!”
“God has been teaching me to take moments to be still in His presence and recognize His goodness, His faithfulness and the gifts He is giving me. I have also been learning about the importance of prayer. Sending a quick text or card asking how someone is doing and how I can pray may seem like a small gesture but I believe in the power of prayer and the blessing it can be for others . . . and myself!”
