LIBRARY

The Fullerton Free Library has over 11,500 books and media, largely from an evangelical Christian perspective, though some items from a different persuasion may be included to aid a believer in research. Our mission is to provide resources that will undergird our church’s ministry; however, the Library is open to the community. Our collection includes the following for adults, youth, and children: fiction and nonfiction, magazines, audio material, and movie DVDs. We focus on titles that are not ordinarily available at your public library. We are located in the Commons building, upstairs above The Well.

You are encouraged to take full advantage of this church-supported resource as you enjoy fruitful hours of reading and listening. Using the online catalog, you can explore the library’s holdings from the comfort of your home or office and then come in to borrow the items you want. Contact the library to create an account.

Library Hours

The Library (upstairs in the Commons Building) is staffed and open to the public:

Sundays, 9:00am–11:30am, and Monday through Thursday, 10:00am-2:00pm.

Check Out Information

Stop by the library counter during library hours to open an account. All library materials may be checked out for three weeks. Magazines may be taken out and returned on an honor basis. We do have limits on the amount of materials that may be checked out at one time:
15 Books / 5 CDs / 5 DVDs / 5 Magazines

Self-Checkout Self-Checkout is available when staff are not present. We are glad to provide you with the opportunity to browse and select materials directly now in our new location in the Loft and C212 above the Well. In addition to in-person check-outs, you may continue to request items out for pickup in the church office lobby by placing items on hold in your account or by making email requests.

Renewing Library Materials

You may extend the due date on any items you have checked out for a maximum of six months unless another person is waiting for them. To renew items, stop by the Library, log in to your personal account on the online catalog or contact the Library.

Do not reply to the weekly no-return email you receive.

Returns & Fines

All items can be returned by placing them in the black bin at the Library counter or through the book drop on the south side of The Well/Library building. No fines are currently being charged on overdue materials.

Donations

The Library accepts donations of gently used books, CDs and DVDs that have a Christian point-of-view. You may bring your donations to the Library between 8am–6pm. To help us, please bring small amounts (one or two bags or boxes) at a time and clearly label them "donation". Items may be added to our collection or made available on our used-books sale shelves to support the library.

Upcoming Events

USED BOOKSALES: Used books are always available on the “Pre-owned Books for Sale” shelves for a donation of any amount. Periodically the Library will hold a Used Books Sale in which all items are also available for a voluntary donation of any price. The proceeds of these “sales” enable our staff to increase the number of new items the Library offers.

How You Can Help Us

Please add library@fullertonfree.com and librarysystem@fullertonfree.com (for weekly emails) to your address list so that our emails get through your spam filter. We communicate with most library patrons by email — this saves our ministry money and time.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: The Library is looking for volunteers on weekdays or Sundays to aid patrons and/or to help with the following “behind the scenes” responsibilities: book mending, cataloging books and videos, updating catalog for better access, processing donated books, and other projects. We’d love to have you join us! For more info, please contact the Library Manager.
