TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR

Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000

Scope:

The Technology Director will oversee all aspects of the technical needs of the church and how our people (staff and congregation) are served and supported. This will include helping staff and volunteers, training of staff and volunteers, IT and tech hardware systems management and vision casting for future growth opportunities.

Production Oversight – 35%

  • Collaborate with the worship team in planning and preparing services.
  • Oversee stage design, technical setup, and rehearsal coordination.
  • Partner with the worship team to cast vision and establish goals for weekly services.
  • Manage Sunday operations to ensure successful execution of the service vision, including volunteer scheduling and technical maintenance.
  • Strong sound mixing experience and knowledge both in house and streaming.
  • Provide technical support for special events and be available outside regular hours as needed.

Technical and IT Staff Management – 30%

  • Ensure AVL systems and equipment are properly maintained and fully operational.
  • Develop and manage a schedule for ongoing projects and future equipment purchases.
  • Budget oversight for both tech and IT.
  • Recruit, develop, and train volunteer teams to support technical and IT functions.
  • Establish and communicate clear goals to maintain team alignment and consistency.
  • Oversee IT operations, including troubleshooting, future vision, volunteer coordination, and support for external groups.

Strategic Staff/Volunteer Support & Training – 25%

  • Collaborate with pastoral, support, and preschool staff to integrate technology into their ministries effectively.
  • Partner with key staff leaders to evaluate ministry objectives and implement strategic technical solutions.
  • Train staff to use technology and IT resources efficiently and confidently.
  • Conduct regular volunteer training sessions to ensure consistency and excellence in execution.

Staff Responsibilities – 10%

    • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
    • Engage in general staff responsibilities and contribute to the overall ministry mission.
